LA LIMONAIA

The inhabitants of this small town in Italy, do not know the true history of the Limonaia, but there are legends and rumors, perhaps invented, around this place.

In the village there is a story of ghost that appears on full moon nights. The ghost would belong to the daughter of the old owners, who died prematurely centuries ago, and would appear riding a white horse.

It is called the Limonaia, because it is thought they used this building as a place to keep lemon trees in the colder seasons, while the rest of the year they were kept in the back courtyard.

I wanted to develop the project on this agricultural architecture building now in ruins for a reason, few know this building, even the inhabitants of nearby Cremona don’t know much about it, but it is a fascinating place which in my opinion contains a story that deserves to be known.
